Gerwyn Price’s Match Darts

Gerwyn Price’s current match darts are the Red Dragon Switch Darts, his signature PDC playing darts that helped “The Iceman” reach the top, including winning the World Championship and securing number one status.

These darts are crafted from 90% tungsten with Gerwyn’s modified Razor Edge groove pattern, strategically positioned at key contact zones to provide a secure, reliable grip throughout the throw. Each set ships with Gerwyn’s blue Aluminium Nitro Flite flights and features Switch Point technology, allowing players to easily change points to suit their preferred setup.

More About Gerwyn Price

Born on 7 March 1985 in Markham, Caerphilly, Wales, Price pursued a career in rugby from an early age, playing for Welsh Premiership sides Neath and Cross Keys and representing Wales at age-grade level. He also played rugby league for South Wales Scorpions and had a brief spell with Glasgow Warriors in the Pro12.

“The Iceman” would play darts in local pubs and rugby clubs alongside his rugby career and, after impressing on the local circuit, he was encouraged by fellow Welsh professional Barrie Bates to enter PDC Qualifying School. Price took the plunge in 2014, and it only took the Welshman four years to pick up his first major title at the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts. He successfully defended it the following year, won the World Grand Prix in 2020 and regained the Grand Slam of Darts for a third time a year later. 2021 also saw the biggest moment of his career, when he secured the PDC World Championship, defeating Gary Anderson 7-3, claiming the £500,000 top prize and becoming world number one.

Price has won seven PDC major singles titles and two World Cups for Wales, establishing himself as one of the leading players of his generation.

About Gerwyn Price Darts

Gerwyn Price Original Standard Darts

The Original Standard dart set is the straightforward fixed-point version of the classic Price concept. Its straight barrel and defined grip provide a reliable, professional-level hold, using a modified Razor Edge groove pattern on key contact points. These darts suit players who have locked down their grip style, with a fixed finger position on every throw.

Gerwyn Price Original Switch Darts

Gerwyn Price’s signature PDC playing dart and tour specification that took him to PDC World Champion and world number one status. The Original Switch is crafted from 90% tungsten with Gerwyn’s modified Razor Edge groove pattern, delivering a secure, reliable grip throughout the throw. It’s perfectly suited to players who like Price’s familiar style but want the freedom to experiment.

Gerwyn Price Glacier Darts

Amplifying the signature Gerwyn Price grip pattern across the length of the barrel with pure Iceman precision, the Glacier dart set has been engineered with a modern milled grip that delivers full-barrel control. This set is ideal for players wanting plenty of purchase regardless of where they naturally hold the dart.

Gerwyn Price Ice Blue Darts

The Ice Blue Special Edition darts pair Triple-Axis mapping with the Iceman’s signature barrel pattern, providing an acute, level 5 performance grip in an ultra-durable black PVD coating. As one of the most aggressive grips in the Price range, these darts are ideal for players who want maximum finger feedback and a particularly secure hold.

Gerwyn Price Midnight Darts

The Red Dragon Gerwyn Price Midnight darts provide the most modern option for precision grip, feel and delivery, with triple-banked double-ring machined grooves plus signature Iceman styling. With a less aggressive grip across the full barrel, they suit players who want plenty of control without the sharper feel of Price’s grippiest designs.

Best Moments & 9-Dart Finishes

The best moment of Gerwyn Price’s career came in 2021. Not only was the Welshman able to regain his Grand Slam of Darts title, but he also secured the biggest prize in darts, the PDC World Championship, defeating Gary Anderson 7-3 in the final, earning him £500,000 in prize money and the status of world number one.

Many darts players have hit a nine-darter, but not many can say they’ve done what “The Iceman” achieved in 2022. On one Premier League night in Belfast, Price hit two nine-darters on the same night. The first came against Michael van Gerwen in the semi-final, before he repeated the feat around an hour later against James Wade in the final. He also hit a 170 checkout and went on to win the night.
